Programmes

C2C Education Programme

The Caregiver-to-Caregiver (C2C) Education Programme is a free training programme providing caregivers with in-depth information about mental illness and the best way to provide care for loved ones with mental illness. Through the 12-weeks, caregivers learn about self-care, receive emotional support from fellow caregivers, and become empowered. The once-a-week class is taught by trained caregiver leaders [2].

This programme is free.

Individual Training And Support

Individual Training And Support (ITS) connects caregivers of persons with mental illness with
Support Specialists who provide information, training, and emotional support. [2]

This programme is free and only for caregivers who are unable to leave the house due to the duties of a caregiver.

Caregiver Support Centre

The Caregiver Support Centre (CSC) is located near Clinic B of The Institute of Mental Health. It is manned by mental health professionals and Support Specialists, who will reach out to caregivers, provide information, and offer referral and counselling services for the caregivers [3]. Support Groups

To facilitate peer support among caregivers, CAL organises monthly support groups. The support groups are caregiver-led programmes and consist of social outings, small group sharing, and network meetings where all caregivers gather together to hear from distinguished speakers [4].
